Lamborghini, the Italian car manufacturer has taken the first step into the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The new initiative - named the Space Key - is a piece of art that was created in collaboration with an unidentified artist. The NFT is an exclusive piece of digital art that can be obtained by scanning a QR code. The project is a limited edition and will be auctioned off within the coming weeks.

The Space Key is made from carbon fiber composite material that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of an experiment. Once it returned to earth, carbon fiber was fashioned into this unique art. The physical piece is inscribed with an NFT serial number that ties to the corresponding digital artwork with an QR code on the back.

NFTs for those who are not familiar are unique identifiers which are stored on an open ledger on the blockchain and linked to a digital asset such as a picture or video, song or other recording. This allows owners to ensure authenticity and the scarcity of tokens via the internet.

Working with NFT PRO White-label NFT solution for companies, Lamborghini is taking this unique approach to art to the next level. Over the next few weeks the company will be sharing details about the exciting project, including the name of the unidentified artist, as well as the timeline for the auction.

The physical component of Space Key

After numerous social media posts, each one revealing something space-themed the Italian supercar maker Lamborghini introduced the world of non-fungible (NFT) tokens with an exclusive initiative dubbed Space Key. Created in collaboration with an unidentified artist the NFT is a collectible item that will be auctioned off in a few weeks time. Its base is made of the most advanced carbon fiber composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station in 2019 as part of a research program.  lambo huracan key  was 3D printed to form the base of each Space Key, which is linked with an exclusive, purely digital artwork via the QR code that is on the back of the key. Only five Space Keys were produced.

NFTs are unique identifiers that can be recorded on distributed ledgers such the Blockchain and linked to digital assets such as images. They're a hot topic among people who have more money than sense It was just a matter of time before an automaker decided to capitalize on the trend.

Space Key is made up of five units. It was designed by using a carbon fiber composite. It was sent to the ISS back in 2019. Each NFT will be equipped with a QR code which links it to an exclusive digital art work created by the same artist. In the coming weeks and days, more details will be revealed, including the name and digital artwork of the artist as well how to purchase one of the five Space Keys.

The digital artwork

After weeks of social media posts hints, luxury car maker Lamborghini finally revealed its first project for tokens that are non-fungible (NFT). The project is dubbed the Space Key, it consists of five items that unlock an exclusive digital artwork NFT created by the unidentified artist. Developed in collaboration with NFT PRO(tm), the "collector's item" is limited to five units and will be auctioned off soon.

Each Space Key contains a block composed of carbon-fired composite material, which was sent to the International Space Station as part of a research project for 2019. After returning to Earth the block was engraved using a QR code that links to the digital component in the Space Key.

Each of the five Space Keys features a different moment that takes place at different times as the Lamborghini Ultimae takes off towards the stars. More than 600 million pixels each of the five images, which were captured by photographer Fabian Oefner.

Oefner used a balloon with a camera to take each of the individual shots, which were then merged into the final image. The result is a photo that is completely out of the world. It captures both the beauty of Earth and the futuristic, hyperrealistic picture of a car rising away from the Earth. The Space Keys are going to be auctioned off soon, but there's no precise date or place yet.

The auction

Lamborghini the premium automaker, has entered the world non-fungible tokens (NFTs) with the slogan "to the moon". The project was developed in collaboration with NFTPRO(tm). The Space Key is an NFT that contains composite carbon fiber material that was actually taken to the International Space Station for research purposes in 2019. The actual sample was cut into five unique pieces that link to exclusive digital artworks designed exclusively by an artist whose name has not yet been revealed through the QR code.

The auctions, which will take place between February 1 through February 4, will last for 75 hours and 50 minutes - the same amount of time it took for Apollo 11 to leave Earth and enter lunar orbit. The five NFTs are available for bidding by creating an account online. Each NFT will be sold individually and the winner will be awarded an original digital artwork created by world-renowned photographer Fabian Oefner that captures five different moments the Space Key experienced during its space voyage.
